Day 93 Three Months September 12, 2001

! still can't get out of Manhattan. Well, ! could, but ! don't want to fight traffic over the bridges and then ride many miles through the city. Things are getting back to normal here. Sort of. Schools will open tomorrow and the stock markets will open on Friday. Some airplanes will be allowed to fly tomorrow to. Today ! walked from MY hotel @ 110th and Lenox Ave. to 96th and Riverside park. Then north through the park to 122nd and back. ! spent most of the day watching tv though. ! saw MY first NYC cockroach. @ the pizza place just after ! ordered lunch. No rat sightings yet. ! must not be looking in the right places. They showed footage from "the hole" where the twin towers used to be. So far they've found 82 bodies and rescued 9 people. It's possible that almost everyone below the crash floors made it out. Fox is airing phone calls from people searching for people. They are giving out their home phone numbers on local NYC television. That's desperate. The bad part is that most of those people are probably dead and the bodies pulverized. Norman Schwartzkoff called them "bastards" on the air. Just this evening the wind has shifted a bit. This is the first time !'ve smelled the smoke and dust. Other than that nothing else happened today. It's been 3 months today since ! left. Hopefully ! can get on the ferry tomorrow and get to Philadelphia, PA. NYC is a pretty neat place. ! don't think ! would want to be here in the winter though. It sure is expensive. ! would have to be making a whole bunch of money to live here. 0 miles.
