Day 91 Lower Manhattan September 10, 2001

Today ! wanted to see if ! could get tickets to the Late Show w/ David Letterman. It took almost 2 hours to walk through Central Park and down to 54th St. Dave is on vacation. ! had lunch @ the Hello Deli and got to talk to Rupert Gee. ! got on the bus down to Wall St. to see the New York Stock Exchange trading floor. Only NASA has more computer power than NYSE. Then it was down to Pier 11 to see about getting on a ferry to New Jersey tomorrow. ! may be able to make it to Philadelphia if the ferry goes far enough. Or a hostel north of there. ! don't really want to do another 50 miles in town to a hotel. ! got to see the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park. That's not a good view. Very far away and from the side. Maybe !'ll be able to see her better from the boat. It decided to rain hard here a couple times today. T-storms from Tropical storm Aaron. 0 miles
